7月2日午前２時現在 鹿児島県の十島村の宝島と小宝島を含むエリアに線状降水帯が発生している。 宝島では1日夜から発達した雨雲が断続的にかかり、2日午前0時10分までの１時間に90ミリの猛烈な雨を観測。降り始めからの雨量は300ミリを超えた。現在は十島村に大雨と洪水に関する警報、土砂災害警戒情報が出ている。 また気象庁は2日午前1時9分に「顕著な大雨に関する気象情報」を発表。奄美地方では、線状降水帯による非常に激しい雨が同じ場所で降り続いており、命に危険が及ぶ土砂災害や洪水による災害発生の危険度が急激に高まっているとして、島民に警戒を呼びかけている。
午前2時の衛生画像では東シナ海で発達した雨雲が形成され、十島村に流れ込んでいるのが確認できる。あわせて九州の西海上でも雨雲が次々と発生し、鹿児島県の薩摩・大隅地方に流れ込んでいる状況。

Additionally, there is a risk of localized development of cumulonimbus clouds, leading to intense gusts such as lightning and tatsumaki, particularly late at night.
