台風が一番多く発生する月と経路

台風は１年間に平均で約２５個発生。そのうち約１２個が日本に接近し、３個が上陸している。
もちろん年によって多い少ないの変動はあるが、大まかに7月から10月が台風シーズンといえる。
１番発生数が多いのは8月。接近数が多いのは8月と9月。上陸数が多いのは9月だ。

冬から春先にかけて台風は低緯度で発生し、東風に流されてフィリピン方面に向かうことが多い。
夏になるとやや緯度が高いところで発生するようになり（白い経路）、太平洋高気圧の縁を吹く風に流されて北上する。

8月は日本の上空を吹く偏西風が弱いため不規則な動きをしがち。
9月になると偏西風が西から東にしっかりと吹いてくるので、日本の近くまで北上した台風は偏西風に流されて進路を東寄りに変え、日本付近を通過していく。

An average of 25 typhoons occur each year. About 12 of them approach Japan, and 3 land.
The number of typhoons varies from year to year, but from July to October can be said to be the typhoon season. August is the month with the highest number of outbreaks. August and September are the months with the most visitors. September is the month with the most landings.

From winter to early spring, typhoons occur at low latitudes and are often blown toward the Philippines by the easterly wind. In summer, it occurs at slightly higher latitudes, and is swept northward by the wind blowing along the edge of the Pacific anticyclone.

In August, the westerly wind that blows over Japan is weak, so it tends to move erratically.
In September, westerly winds blow steadily from west to east, so typhoons that have moved north near Japan are swept away by it and change course to the east, passing Japan.
