９月１日（日）にフィリピンの東で発生した台風11号は、８日（日）午後3時にベトナムで熱帯低気圧に変わった。
台風11号は南シナ海で今年一番の猛烈な勢力に発達。中心気圧が９１５hPaまで低下し、その時の最大風速は５５m/s。米軍合同台風警報センター（JTWC）の基準で「スーパー台風」となった。
６日（金）に非常に強い勢力で中国の海南島を直撃、暴風と大雨で道路が寸断し死者が出るなど、被害が相次いだ。
またベトナムのハノイでも熱帯低気圧による暴風で大きな被害が出ているようだ。
On Sunday, September 1st, Typhoon No. 11 formed east of the Philippines and weakened into a tropical depression over Vietnam at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 8th.
Typhoon No. 11 had intensified into the most powerful storm of the year in the South China Sea, with its central pressure dropping to 915 hPa and maximum wind speeds reaching 55 meters per second. According to the U.S. Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC), the storm was classified as a “super typhoon.”
On Friday, September 6th, the typhoon struck China’s Hainan Island with severe intensity, causing widespread destruction. Roads were severed due to strong winds and heavy rains, resulting in multiple casualties.
Furthermore, it appears that Hanoi, Vietnam, has also suffered significant damage due to violent winds from the tropical depression.
